Rethusabona is dedicated to improving the healthcare of women through delivering quality educational resources and campaigns communities in collaboration with various partners.
Our projects are aimed at reducing barriers and eliminating stigma surrounding quality menstrual products while advocating for improved access and outcomes. We intend to especially focus on previously marginalized communities and regions with the most significant inequalities.
Our support starts with children in their early years of learning, through primary to high school. We work with parents, educators and communities in providing social, practical and financial support especially to disadvantaged children and young people.
We know that there are children who cannot fully participate in educational activities without help. Children in disadvantaged communities often struggle to acquire basic school items like books, school uniforms and stationary. Our organization works together with education stakeholders to provide these essentials to them.
Our mission is to be prepared to render assistance in both natural and man-made situations, ensuring menstrual hygiene is still a priority during times of crisis.
We plan to assemble a network of volunteers, staff and supporters who we will work closely with to deliver aid in times of need. Additionally, collaborating across sectors to provide financial assistance, essential menstrual resources, meaningful relief and comfort for young girls and women in disaster-affected communities, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort during these challenging times.
We are committed to providing women with opportunities to participate in decision-making processes and platforms, enabling them to lead their communities and advocate for their bodily autonomy and other important issues centered around women’s menstrual hygiene.
Additionally, our organization is dedicated to ensuring that women and girls have access to high-quality sanitary pads when they need them. We collect and distribute period products to females who cannot afford them, relying on the generosity of donors
