Rethusabona Foundation is a non-profit organization founded and led by Una Nkuna whose passion for menstrual issues affecting young African girls and women fuels its impactful mission. We recognize the importance of expanding accessibility to essential menstrual products and fostering open and honest conversation surrounding periods. With this in mind, we’ve made it our mission to priortize underprivileged communities and schools by providing clean, safe sanitary pads through financial and physical contributions.
We are committed to supporting communities through a range of programs and activities.
Our diverse team is trained to faciliate educational disscusios on topics such as menstrual hygiene, period proverty and the stigma surrounding menstrual education. We strive to create a supportive and empowering envornment for young girls and women with the goal of fostering positive change

How does Rethusabona Foundation raise funds?
The Foundation relies on the generous support of its donors. Donations and gifts enable the Foundation to deliver assistance in the many projects that it is involved in.
Which payment method do you prefer?
We suggest that you use whichever payment method is most convenient for you. For bigger donations we prefer that you donate via EFT to reduce fees.
Do you take donations from countries outside of Africa?
Yes we certainly do. While we are based in South Africa, our donors come from all over the world.
